“I’m ten years away from retirement. I’ve been environmentally aware all my life. The system I was looking for had to be eco-friendly and also help me with bills when the pension days come. Solar energy ticked all those boxes. I was looking for something which was long-lasting and needed the least amount of maintenance. Again the panels were ideal.
I had contacted a few other companies and researched via neighbours who also had solar panels installed. PV Gen’s name came up a few times and it turned out they were the easiest to deal with. Their sales rep was honest and upfront about what I could expect and the time scale. The people in the office were a great help when I was applying for my grant application and walked me through the process. The installers were quick and efficient and a friendly bunch of guys who educated me on the workings of the system once installed.
Being realistic is the main thing. Yes, on a dull day I will be importing from the grid, but less than I would have done without the panels. I realise that we are in the winter months, so the true benefit will really be visible as the days grow longer. However, I’m confident it will already be making a huge difference in my electric bill which is due soon. On a full sun day, I can generate 1.7 kW. I can have my radio and laptop on and still be sending power to the grid (I didn’t go for the battery option yet).
PV Gen was honest, efficient and upfront with everything I needed. I have already been recommending them to friends. In fact one of my friends got their panels installed last week on my recommendation.” PV Gen was honest, efficient and upfront with everything I needed. I have already been recommending them to friends.
